The nation’s only steam train and riverboat connection! This narrated, sightseeing tour travels through the scenic Connecticut River Valley. Essex Steam Train offers unique access to several coves and preserves, immersing passengers in an on-board eco-excursion. At Deep River Landing, passengers are escorted onto the Becky Thatcher riverboat for a 1¼- hour cruise along the Connecticut River. The visual serenity of the river valley is on full display from Becky's multiple decks. For added adventure, all aboard the elegant Essex Clipper for a four-course meal served in beautifully restored 1920s Pullman diners, pulled by a vintage diesel locomotive.

ROCKY HILL-GLASTONBURY FERRY
The ferry provides a direct link across the Connecticut River between Rocky Hill and Glastonbury. The ferry transports passengers and vehicles and operates daily, May 1 through October 31. To depart from Glastonbury, take Route 17 from Route 2 to Route 160 and follow signs to the ferry landing. To depart from Rocky Hill, take I-91 south or north to Exit 23, West Street. From top (southbound) ramp, turn north. From northbound ramp, turn right. Follow signs to ferry landing on Route 160.

CHESTER-HADLYME FERRY
The ferry provides a direct link across the Connecticut River between Chester and Hadlyme at Route 148. The ferry transports passengers and vehicles and operates daily, April 1 through November 30. To depart from Hadlyme, take Route 149 off Route 82 and follow signs to the ferry landing. To depart from Chester, take Route 9 south or north to exit 6, Route 148 and follow signs to the ferry landing.
